LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. A 25-year-old Lehigh Acres woman died in a crash Monday afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Chloe Ackerly was killed in the wreck, which happened just after 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Ninth Street and Williams Avenue, according to the FHP.

Donald Frankle Jr., 54, also of Lehigh Acres, ran a stop sign at the intersection, the FHP said. The 2004 Dodge Ram he was driving west on Ninth Street hit the 1998 Nissan Sentra that Ackerly was driving south on Williams.

Ackerly wasn’t wearing a seat belt, according to the FHP.

Charges against Frankle, who was taken to Lehigh Regional Medical Center with minor injuries, are pending a further investigation.

The crash temporarily created a roadblock at the intersection, State troopers said.
