Troopers stopped the car at around 2 p.m. at mile marker 64, and inside they found 26 fraudulent credit cards, 89 gift cards, card numbers written on paper, other personal information and a bottle of hydrocodone without a prescription label, according to the FHP. The driver of the car, 35-year-old Antoine Owens of Lauderhill, and his passenger, Lashay McDonald, 32, of Lehigh Acres, were arrested and taken to the Collier County Jail, State troopers said. Owens and McDonald face charges of possession of a controlled substance, trafficking of a controlled substance and 26 counts of possession of stolen credit cards, State troopers said. Owens also faces a habitual traffic offender charge and McDonald faces a fraud charge. The incident remains under investigation.
