NORTH NAPLES, Fla. One person was arrested in connection with a Monday night hit-and-run crash on Interstate 75, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The three-vehicle wreck happened at around 10:17 p.m. when Fort Myers resident Camilo Castano, 18, hit a 2001 Nissan Xterra, according to the FHP.

Castano’s Mitsubishi Galant went off the road and hit a cable barrier and posts, State troopers said. The Nissan hit a guardrail. A 2011 Kia Optima traveling behind both vehicles struck the left side of the Nissan.

Castano fled the scene and continued southbound on Interstate 75, according to State troopers. Shortly after, he was found stopped at the intersection of Whippoorwill Lane and Dudley Drive.

Castano faces charges of leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, careless driving, operating a vehicle in an unsafe manner, and driving on the road with a flat tire, State troopers said.

No one was injured in the wreck, according to State troopers.

No further information was immediately available.
