Photo via City of Marco Island MARCO ISLAND, Fla. One person died Monday morning in a crash on Barfield Drive, the Marco Island Police Department said. Catherine M. Jacobs, 61, of Naples, was pronounced dead at Naples Hospital, according to police. The two-vehicle crash happened at around 7:28 a.m. near the area of 269 N. Barfield Drive. Three children who were passengers in the 2016 Volkswagen sedan Jacobs drove were hurt, police said. One was flown to Lee Memorial Hospital while the two other children were taken to Naples Hospital. The driver of the other vehicle, a 2005 Dodge Panel Van, was taken to Naples Hospital.
