NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. Crews contained a 4-acre brush fire that ignited east of Interstate 75 off of Bayshore Road near Pritchett Parkway and Wells Road in North Fort Myers, according to fire officials.

The blaze started at approximately 2:30 p.m. The eastbound and westbound lanes of Bayshore Road were reopened after being shut down for a short time, Lee County deputies said.

No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported, fire officials said.

The cause of the fire appears to be from a homeless camp in the woods.

No further information is immediately available.
