MGN PUNTA GORDA, Fla. A crash involving seven vehicles caused significant congestion Thursday morning on Interstate 75, a Charlotte County Fire and Emergency Medical Services official said. The crash happened at around 7:15 a.m. in the southbound lanes at mile marker 164 and blocked the right lane, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. I-75 had cleared by shortly after 11 a.m. The vehicles appeared to sustain minor damage, a Charlotte County official said, and two people suffered injuries, but refused to go to the hospital. The extent of their injuries and cause of the crash weren’t immediately clear.
