A helicopter lands Thursday at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers. (Rebecca Ollier / WINK News) EAST NAPLES, Fla. An 11-year-old boy was hit with a shot from a BB gun as he walked near his home around noon Thursday. A friend brought him to his house on Cleveland Court near Radio Road and his mother called 911, the friend’s mother said. The boy was left bloodied and flown by helicopter to Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers. His condition is unclear. Detectives from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office have opened an investigation.
