Collier firefighters, deputies demonstrate dangers of distracted driving

Published: Updated:

NORTH NAPLES, Fla. First responders showed drivers the lengths they have to go to when distracted drivers cause serious crashes.

Collier County Sheriff’s deputies stood Thursday at the intersection of Pine Ridge and Airport-Pulling roads, the busiest in the county, handing out educational fliers and holding signs.

At the same corner, firefighters from North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District demonstrated the Jaws of Life, which they use to rescue someone trapped in a car.
