GOLDEN GATE ESTATES, Fla. One person died in a four-vehicle crash on Golden Gate Boulevard near 23rd Street Northwest, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash took place shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday and blocked one westbound lane on Golden Gate Boulevard.

It’s the fourth straight day someone has died on Southwest Florida roads. One person was killed Sunday in Charlotte County, and a pedestrian died Monday in Lehigh Acres. Two pedestrians were hit and killed Tuesday — one in Arcadia and the other in Englewood.

No further information on Wednesday’s crash is immediately available.
