Which SWFL schools punish the most bullies?

FORT MYERS, Fla. Some schools are punishing bullies more often than others.

Bonita Springs Middle Center for the Arts and LaBelle High School disciplined more students for bullying than anywhere else in Southwest Florida in the 2014-15 year, according to the most recent Florida Department of Education data on school discipline. Each had eight incidents.

The same data shows four incidents at Vineland Elementary in Charlotte County, making it the school with the most bullying discipline for that year in that district.

In Collier County, Avalon Elementary reported three bullying cases to the DOE, putting it at the top of the list for that district.

Discipline data for 2015-16 is not yet available through the state’s School Environmental Safety Incident Reporting system. Charlotte County schools said in an email that the district’s school with the most bullying cases for 2015-16 is Meadowpark Elementary, with five.
