Burglar targets Bonita Springs church

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. An alleged thief remains at large after robbing Saint Mary’s Episcopal Church Tuesday, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.

The thief used the claw of a hammer to break into the church’s shed and peeled back the aluminum siding to create a hole large enough to crawl through, detectives said.

Several large items were stolen, including a leaf blower and pressure washer, according to detectives.
