Artavistus Lyndrel Ware MOORE HAVEN, Fla. A man already in prison on a drug-related sentence was arrested Tuesday in connection to a 2014 murder, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said. Artavistus Lyndrel Ware, 34, allegedly set up the killing of U.S. Army veteran Monroy Hughes on Jan. 31, 2014 to prevent Hughes from testifying against him. Hughes was found shot to death in his Moore Haven home. Ware was nonetheless convicted and sentenced to 17 years behind bars. He’s been transferred from Calhoun Correctional Institution in Blountstown to the Glades County Jail. A Glades County Grand Jury indicted him last Thursday on charges of first degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, tampering with a victim, witness or informant, solicitation to commit murder, solicitation to commit tampering and burglary.
