Man in thong rescued from roof of Collier building

NORTH NAPLES, Fla. — A nearly naked man was rescued from the roof of a Goodwill building under construction on Immokalee Road near Collier Boulevard, the North Collier Fire Rescue District said.

The man was spotted at about 9 p.m. Tuesday night wearing only a blue thong, witnesses said.

Fire crews quickly arrived and safely got him down by strapping him to a board and using a ladder. Collier deputies were also on the scene.

Officials haven’t confirmed whether the man was intoxicated or if he will face any charges.
