IMMOKALEE, Fla. — Sen. Marco Rubio will talk about issues surrounding agriculture, labor and trade during a stop Friday in Immokalee. Rubio will be part of a roundtable discussion with members of the Gulf Citrus Growers Association at 11:30 a.m. at the UF/IFAS Southwest Florida Research and Education Center on 2685 State Road 29. The Republican Senator earlier this month teamed with Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson to reintroduce a bill that would allow citrus farmers a tax break on the expenses needed to replace diseased citrus plants.
