PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. — A two-vehicle crash temporarily blocked U.S. 41 northbound at Toledo Blade Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon.

A Toyota Rav4 wound up on its side in the intersection. Its driver, 43-year-old Oksana Bogacheff of North Venice, was cited for failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The driver of the other car, Jelka Glomich, 76, of Venice, was flown to Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers with serious injuries.

Bogacheff suffered minor injuries and was taken to Sarasota Memorial ER and Health Care Center in North Port.
