Suspects sought in Lee County car burglaries

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers are looking for suspects involved in more than 15 car burglaries in the last several weeks, authorities said.

Unlocked doors allowed the burglars to gain access to the cars, authorities said.

“Car thieves are having a heyday of late, and unfortunately residents are making it easy for crooks to easily get in and out of the vehicles with stolen items,” Crime Stoppers Coordinator Trish Routte said.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS, or visit their website. These tips will remain anonymous and callers may be eligible for a cash reward.
