LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — A 33-year-old woman was badly injured following a crash Friday night on State Road 82 near Alabama Road South, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Yvrose Duperard-Absolu, of Lehigh Acres, was traveling west on State Road 82 approaching the intersection of Alabama Road, while 20-year-old Knute Linzenmeyer, of Cape Coral, was traveling east within the left turn lane. When Linzenmeyer tried to make a left onto Alabama Road, he turned directly into Absolu’s path, according to the FHP. Absolu was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Linzenmeyer sustained minor injuries and was cited for an improper left turn, the FHP said.
