Fort Myers Beach looks to ease biking risks with study

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. – A $91,000 study is in the works on Fort Myers Beach where town leaders hope to make the roads and walkways safer for bicyclists and pedestrians. The town is partnering with the Lee County Metropolitan Planning Organization and may consider the construction of a beach boardwalk, Bruce Butcher of the project’s advisory board said.
