SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — One person suffered serious injuries in a crash Tuesday morning at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Crystal Drive, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The wreck happened at 6:14 a.m. and involved a 2009 Suzuki DL1000 motorcycle and a 2006 Ford Taurus, according to the FHP. Larry Steward, 62, of Cape Coral, was riding the Suzuki in the outside lane of U.S. 41. He didn’t stop at the red light and hit the Ford in front of him, the FHP said. Steward was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital and faces a reckless driving charge, according to an FHP press release. The driver of the Ford wasn’t injured.
