Injured dog receives life-saving treatment in SWFL

ESTERO, Fla. — Another dog from Miami-Dade County is receiving life-saving help in Southwest Florida.

Veterinarians said Eli was severely beaten with something, causing his ear to disconnect from his head.

The same person who is fostering Eli is helping Abigail, a 3-year-old pit bull who was also rescued from Miami.

Abigail sustained injuries to her ear and face after being used as a bait dog in suspected dogfighting in Miami.
