Record heat to stick around for Monday

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Sunday’s high of 88 bested the previous record of 85 set in 1967, and more of the same is on the way, meteorologist Zach Maloch said.

The high is again forecast to hit 88 on Monday. That would tie a record set in 1990.

Isolated p.m. rain is also expected Monday as clouds build.

Tonight’s overnight low should dip to 70.
