CAPE CORAL, Fla. – A driver smashed into a car wash building, striking pipes and water lines, then checked the damage before making off Wednesday. The driver, seen in surveillance video from 24-hour Car Wash on Del Prado Boulevard, tore the bumper of his car and left it at the business, along with the damage he caused. Owner Coni Dean received a call from police about the damage hours later. “Well, it looked pretty chaotic,” she said. “We had water shooting out of the ground and half the building torn off and we were not sure what happened.” Dean said she believes the driver’s car is a black Dodge Durango. Anyone with information is asked to call Cape Coral police.
