NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. – A state legislator who represents North Fort Myers wants to merge sixteen Lee County fire districts and two additional city fire departments, but many local firefighters admit they don’t understand Rep. Matt Caldwell’s proposed bill. The bill could make its way to the November 2018 ballot.
