Fort Myers crash causes congestion on Six Mile Cypress Parkway

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A single-vehicle crash snarled traffic on Saturday at Six Mile Cypress Parkway near Daniels Parkway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP responded to the accident at around 4:30 p.m. The driver allegedly lost control and drove the car through the guardrail, first responders said.

The driver was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be OK.

FPL is also at the scene working to fix power in the area as the guard rail struck a power line.
