Amateur sports execs gather in Lee County
SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. – Dozens of amateur sports executives are here for the annual United States Sports Congress.
The conference attracts top-level decision makers interested in networking and growing their games. Thousands of athletes are being represented by 40 executives at the Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort and Spa.
The meetings present an opportunity for Lee County to showcase itself as a potential host for competitions. Lee County hosted 115 amateur sporting events last year, bringing in over $61 million.
The conference runs through Wednesday.
