CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A man was arrested after he drove through several houses and fences in a Cape Coral neighborhood.

Clifford White was found in a stranger’s yard after allegedly mixing his medications, police reports said.

Maison Rosanti, who witnessed the accident, said White sped down S.E. 26th Terrace and launch into a fence, destroying part of it and some trees.

“I watched him launch into this fence right back here, ramp it, go through the fence, trees were taken out,” he said. “I was in shock.”

Rosanti and several others then rushed to help White.

“He is very lucky,” Rosanti said. “There is literally a telephone pole that is one inch from where his tire marks were.”

Even though he mixed his medications, officers said he wasn’t impaired.

Police reports show White told officers that he doesn’t remember anything.

White is facing charges of reckless driving and reckless driving with property damage.
