FORT MYERS, Fla. – A funeral director accused of stealing jewelry off a dead teenager’s body was sentenced Friday to 364 days in prison and four years probation, the state attorney’s office said.

Andrew Johnson, 51, was found guilty by a jury after only 10 minutes.

He was convicted for stealing $300 in jewelry at Mortuary Services of Florida, which was handling the burial of a teenage girl. The jewelry he stole was also supposed to be buried, former co-workers and law enforcement testified.
