Fans camp outside Fenway South for spring training tickets

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Dedicated baseball fans camped outside of Jet Blue Park Friday night to buy Boston Red Sox spring training tickets on Saturday morning.

Bob Millen, a park staff member, said many of the campers he spoke to would rather camp overnight than buy their tickets online because of the camaraderie.

“They see everybody every year,” he said. “They meet their old buddies.”

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. and can be bought on the park’s website.
