CLEWISTON, Fla. — Two men have been arrested in connection to the Wednesday night shooting death of 28-year-old Anthony Holder, the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office said.

Gerald Tyrone Edwards, 26, and Winston Trotman, 27, are in custody at the Hendry County Jail. Neither has been formally charged with the death, which the sheriff’s office considers a homicide. They’re instead facing charges for commiting an act that could cause death.

It’s unclear if those pending charges will be upgraded. The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the incident, which left four others injured.

Deputies found Holder unresponsive on the ground at about 11 p.m. Wednesday in the Harlem Gardens community. Gunshots rang out from another area of Harlem Gardens while the deputies were tending to Holder, the sheriff’s office said.

Edwards is being held on $1 million dollar bond, while Trotman’s bond is $600,000, according to the sheriff’s office.
