SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — A driver suffered critical injuries in a single-vehicle wreck Monday night at Plantation Road and Crystal Drive, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Fort Myers resident Robert C. Sprindis, 51, was going south on Plantation Road and approaching Crystal Drive when he hit a curb and lost control of his vehicle, according to an FHP press release. He was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers. No further information is immediately available.
