PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. — A man is presumed dead after having been found unresponsive Tuesday morning in a McDonald’s bathroom, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said.

The incident is not considered suspicious and no threat to the public exists, according to the sheriff’s office, which is nonetheless asking people to avoid the restaurant at the Promenades Mall on 3280 Tamiami Trail while a death investigation takes place.

The inside of the McDonald’s is closed, but the drive-through is open.

The name of the man was not released, but he’s white and in his mid- to late 20s, the sheriff’s office said.

No further information is immediately available.
