FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for the driver in a deadly crash that temporarily blocked southbound lanes of Interstate 75 on Thursday morning.

Brooke Fenton, 29, of Port Charlotte, was pronounced dead from the wreck that occurred at mile marker 135, FHP said.

Another driver, 49-year-old Port Charlotte resident Ronald Bray, swerved in front of Fenton’s car, which caused her to lose control of her vehicle, FHP said. Fenton’s car then hit a parked truck. No one in the truck was hurt.

FHP said they are looking for Bray. Anyone who witnessed the crash is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.

The FHP investigation is ongoing. It’s unclear if Bray will face charges.
