Hopes high for economic impact of Marco Island hotel

MARCO ISLAND, Fla. – Tourism officials expect a $300 million renovation and rebranding of the Marriott Beach Resort to have a major economic impact on Collier County. The luxury hotel will be the county’s largest with 810 rooms. It’s slated to reopen in January 2017 as the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort.
