Evening Veterans Day walk to close Midpoint Bridge

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Drivers headed between Cape Coral and Fort Myers won’t be able to use the Midpoint Bridge between 6 and 9 p.m. Friday when it will be closed in both directions for a Veterans Day footrace.

Message boards will remind drivers in the area of the closure. Other ways to get across the Caloosahatchee River include the Cape Coral Bridge, the U.S. 41 Bridge or the Business 41 bridge.

The evening Midpoint Madness Veterans Day 5K will have a glow theme and begins on the Fort Myers side of the bridge.
