LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — State Road 82 is now open after a deadly crash early Sunday morning at the intersection of State Road 82 and Rue Labeau Circle, according to FHP. A 2008 Ford F150 was driving east on State Road 82 in the eastbound lane, and a 2006 Ford E350 was driving west on State Road 82 in the westbound lane when the Ford F150 hit the Ford E350 directly, the FHP report said. The driver of the Ford F150 suffered serious injuries, and other people in the Ford E350 sustained minor injuries. They were all taken to Lee Memorial Hospital, the report said. Lehigh Acres Emergency Medical Services pronounced a passenger in the 2006 Ford E350 dead at the scene, the report said. FHP is still investigating. No further information was immediately available.
