Fort Myers postal carrier pleads guilty to dumping mail

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A U.S. postal carrier pleaded guilty Thursday to throwing mail into a dumpster behind a San Carlos Park restaurant.

Fort Myers resident Angelica Morman, 28, had been expected to enter the plea after reaching a deal last month with prosecutors in the federal case. It remains unclear what sort of sentence she’ll receive at a hearing set for February, but she could get up to five years behind bars.

Surveillance footage from August showed Morman disposing of stacks of flyers from Bonita Springs real estate agent Hudson Warren along with other mail. The dump took place behind Luigina’s Pizza & Grill on 18767 S. Tamiami Trail.
