ESTERO, Fla. — A group of burglars remain at large after robbing an Estero church Saturday night and causing $100,000 in damages. Rick Castellano, the assistant pastor of Calvary Chapel Gulf Coast, 20991 Three Oaks Pkwy, said the burglars cut the lock to the fence outside the church and stole copper pipes from six of their seven air conditioning units, destroying most beyond repair. “The money wasted on having to deal with this is just that, it’s a waste,” Castellano said. “It’s money that we now don’t have to use on the kind of work that we want to do.” The burglars also stole a lawnmower, a grill and some tools from their shed, according to Castellano. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact authorities.
