Lee County woman’s home burglarized, electronics stolen

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — A burglar remains at large after breaking into a woman’s home Friday and stealing thousands of dollars worth of electronics.

Laurel Rosas was shocked when she walked into her residence and realized she was robbed.

“I walk inside my home and I found gauges in my living room wall,” she said. “My first reaction was just sobbing. Anger, concern, fear.”

Rosas believes the burglar broke through a window after finding shattered glass all over the floor. Two televisions, a keurig and a laptop were among the missing items, she said.

However, Rosas is grateful that she nor her children were home at the time.

“The thought of someone coming into my home is very disturbing. It’s a violation,” she said. “What kind of people or animals have been inside my home? Have they been watching me? Have they been watching my kids?”

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
