Evangelical Christian School completes $28.6M purchase of Hodges campus2 people wanted in multiple Fort Myers burglaries
NAPLES, Fla. — The Collier Mosquito Control District has stopped aeriel spraying of pesticides in response to a lower number of mosquitoes. Cooler, dryer weather has reduced the population of the bugs, the district said. Still, field crews will continue to conduct surveillance and trapping for the mosquitoes that carry the Zika virus as well as the dengue and chikungunya viruses. Hundreds of locally transmitted cases of Zika have been identified in neighboring Miami-Dade county, but none have been identified in Collier County.
