Crash kills 1 on Metro Parkway in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Northbound lane is now open from the deadly crash Wednesday morning on Metro Parkway.

This crash caused road closures in all directions for Metro Parkway between Old Metro Parkway and Winkler Avenue, which were shut down for the last couple hours, a Fort Myers Police Department official said.

FMPD is currently on the scene directing traffic, and the Southbound lanes are not open.

A fatality was reported from the crash that occurred Wednesday morning on Metro Parkway, a source confirmed to WINK News.

No further information was immediately available.
