CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A motor scooter crash Saturday night has left a Cape Coral man dead. Ronald Burge, 59, of 1105 SE 5th Terrace, suffered serious head injuries when he was ejected from his motor scooter at about 7:30 p.m. and died Sunday after being taken to a hospital, the Cape Coral Police Department said. His scooter, a 2015 Bentelli model, flipped when it drifted off the road and hit a rock on the 3500 block of Country Club Boulevard. Burge was wearing a helmet, but alcohol or drugs were a factor, the police department said. It’s the seventh traffic fatality in Cape Coral this year. Last year, there were 13.
