20 SWFL residents become US citizens

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Twenty residents from 11 different countries became United States citizens at the grand opening of a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office Friday afternoon.

The new citizens are from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Peru, Serbia and Russia.

The agency’s new office at 4220 Executive Circle will introduce services to Southwest Florida residents whose closest alternative was previously in Tampa.
