WINK NAPLES PARK, Fla. — A house fire preceded a suspicious drug raid in a Naples Park neighborhood early Wednesday morning, Collier County Sheriff’s Office reported. CCSO was dispatched at 9 p.m. Tuesday night to a house on 101st Avenue in Naples Park for a disturbance call, a deputy said. Although there was an apparent marijuana stench, CCSO was unable to search the premises without the proper paperwork, an official said. A search warrant was served just a couple hours after the flames of a house fire were extinguished just two doors down. A deputy saved a man from the house fire, a CCSO official said. When CCSO deputies returned, the Gang Unit was present and they conducted their search. Officers entered the residence with “a large bin and paper bag.” While marijuana odors were still detectable, it is unclear what officers found. No arrests have been made at this time, CCSO said. No further information was immediately available.
