Credit: WINK News. PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — Florida Southwestern College and Western Michigan University announced a partnership on Tuesday with the unveiling of FSW’s new aviation program. WMU is expanding their aviation program to FSW’S Charlotte campus. FSW’s program will also include training in avionics, the maintenance and repair of planes, through its School of Business and Technology. FSW’s School of Health Professions is also incorporating WMU’s healthcare programs to help train and keep professionals in our region. WMU will have four additional classrooms on the Charlotte campus and space at the nearby airport. The presidents of WMU and FSW unveiled a wing wall at the Airport Road entrance to FSW’s Charlotte campus with WMU’s logo to signify the partnership. Over 200 political and government leaders, as well as 24 WMU alumni were there to celebrate.
