PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — The families of the two Punta Gorda men killed in a plane crash in rural Ohio are coming to terms with their loss. Eric Hackney, 43, and Jesse Loy, 36, were flying to visit friends when their small plane went down in woods along the Little Miami River. Both died on impact, said Doyle Burke, the chief investigator for the Warren County Coroner’s Office. Apparently, the plane’s wing clipped a zipline and nosedived into the woods along the Little Miami River, according to Hackney’s mother. A National Transportation Safety Board investigation is still ongoing.
