EAST NAPLES, Fla. — Witnesses said they found a 2-year-old wandering near U.S. 41 outside a hotel, leading to the arrest of the toddler’s mother. Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputies said they encountered Angelica Blomquist, 30, in a hotel room with her son. Blomquist smelled like alcohol and the shower was covered in feces, the deputies said. Blomquist told multiple stories about how the boy wound up by the highway, deputies said, and when they attempted to question her, she grabbed the 2-year-old and threw him on the bed. Blomquist is in custody on $10,000 bond and facing a child neglect charge.
