CLEWISTON, Fla. — A suspect has been arrested in connection to a home invasion shooting in Clewiston, according to Hendry County police. Michael Villarreal, 23, was recognized out of a photo lineup by the victims. Police reports show that Villarreal forcibly entered the victims’ home near Tampa Avenue on Wednesday night, shooting the victim and his mother before escaping with a bag of prescription drugs. Villarreal is currently in custody facing charges of robbery and attempted murder with a $50,000 bond.
