FORT MYERS, Fla. – The driver accused of striking and killing Donnell Strum, 83, at the RaceTrac on the 2600 block of Del Prado Boulevard last October was sentenced to four years in prison Friday. Gerald Gray, 56, accepted a plea deal for two charges: leaving the scene of a deadly crash and driving with a suspended license. Gray was facing a maximum of 31 years in jail. After he serves his sentence, Gray will serve probation for three years. He will never be given a valid driver’s license for the rest of his life.
