NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — Bayshore Road and Highway 31 are now open from a previous  three vehicle crash Thursday morning, Florida Highway Patrol reports.

One person was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

A vehicle, a dump truck and a pick up truck were involved in the crash.

Julia Pledger-Niedermeyer, 51, of Fort Myers, and Nivaldo Polo, 43, of Lehigh Acres were charged Thursday with failing to stop at a red light, according to FHP.

Both Bayshore Road and Highway 31 are currently closed in both directions, causing heavy traffic. The roads should be reopened within the next 30 minutes.

Florida Highway Patrol units are on the scene trying to expediently remove the drump truck involved from the crash as there are two full fuel tanks.

No additional information was immediately available.
