Cape Coral man cross-examines brother in murder trial

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A suspect cross-examined his own brother Monday, leading to an emotional and awkward scene at the Lee County Courthouse.

Matthew Marshall is acting as his own attorney as he stands accused of the February killing of his father, Rick Marshall. Matthew Marshall hoped that the testimony of Peter Marshall, his brother, would show he was incapable of the crime.

But it proved a difficult case for Matthew Marshall to make.
